Terms of Service
Last updated June 4, 2026
These Terms govern your use of citedon.com and the Citedon Connector plugin (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service
Citedon measures whether AI engines cite and recommend a website, generates the agent-ready structured data a site is missing, and helps apply and maintain it. The free plan covers the diagnostic. Applying the agent-ready layer and continuous monitoring are paid plans.
Accounts
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials and site keys secure. You must provide accurate information and be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Plans, billing, and cancellation
- Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis through our payment provider, and renew automatically until canceled.
- You can cancel at any time from your account or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the current period.
- Prices are shown on our pricing page and may change with notice for future billing periods.
- Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable; we may offer pro-rated credits at our discretion.
The WordPress plugin
The Citedon Connector is licensed under the GPL v2 or later. It is a thin client: it applies the agent-ready data your Citedon project generates and reports what it applied. It is designed to be additive and reversible. You are responsible for installing it only on sites you own or are authorized to manage, and for maintaining backups of your site.
Acceptable use
- Only scan or connect websites you own or have permission to manage.
- Do not misuse the Service, attempt to disrupt it, reverse engineer it beyond what the plugin license allows, or use it to violate any law or third-party right.
- Do not resell or provide the Service to third parties except under a plan that permits it.
Third-party engines and trademarks
The Service references third-party AI engines and software (including ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Yoast, Rank Math, and WordPress). These names are trademarks of their respective owners, used for identification only. Citedon is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by them.
No guarantee of results
Citedon measures and improves how readable and citable your site is to AI engines. We do not control those engines and cannot guarantee any specific citation, recommendation, ranking, traffic, or revenue outcome. Scores and predictions are estimates.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Citedon will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or to protect the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends.
Changes
We may update these Terms. We will revise the date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where Citedon operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
