Run a scan

A scan checks a page across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude and scores how readable it is to them. The first scan of any site is free and needs no signup.

The scan answers one question: when an engine looks at this page, can it read and parse what is there? You get an Agent-Readiness Score, the specific gaps behind it, and a four-engine citation check that shows whether each engine returned your page for a relevant question.

Illustrative only. Your real readout comes from a free scan.
A scan readout: the readiness score, the gaps, and which engines returned your page. Numbers shown are illustrative.

Two ways to scan

  • From the homepage. Paste any URL into the scan box. The first scan needs no account, so you can see a readout before you commit to anything.
  • From your dashboard. Once signed in, open New scan, or open a project and click Run my first scan. Signed-in scans are saved to your project and stay private until you share them.

Run a scan

  1. 1. Enter a page URL

Paste the page you most want AI engines to read into the scan box on the homepage, or open New scan in your dashboard. Scan the page that matters most first, not your homepage by default.

  2. 2. Wait about a minute

Citedon queries the four engines and analyses the page structure. This takes roughly a minute. Signed in, the dashboard shows how many free scans you have left today.

  3. 3. Read your score

You land on the report: your readiness score, the gaps behind it, and the four-engine check. Next, learn how to read it on Read your report.
