Test connection fails. What do I check?
Confirm the Core URL is exactly https://citedon.com with no trailing path, the Site key is pasted in full, and the Project ID matches the project you issued the key in. If you are unsure the key is intact, click Rotate key in the dashboard and paste the new one.
I lost the site key. It was only shown once.
That is expected; the key is shown once for security. Open the project in your dashboard, click Rotate key in the Connect WordPress card, and paste the new key into WordPress. The old key stops working.
My site has no SEO plugin. Does the connector still work?
Yes. With no Yoast or Rank Math present, the connector runs in own-output mode and emits its own structured-data graph. If you later install Yoast or Rank Math, it detects them automatically and wires into their graph instead, so there is never a duplicate.
A recommendation says it needs content. Why?
Some fixes need real content to be honest, for example an FAQ needs actual questions and answers. Citedon will not invent content or ship an empty shell that could read as thin content. Add the content to the page, then click Re-check now on the card.
I approved a fix but it is not on the page.
Make sure the connector toggle Apply Citedon agent-ready schema to this site is on and the recommendation is approved. The plugin refreshes what it serves periodically, so a page or CDN cache can delay it; clear your cache and reload. If it still does not appear, the card will show a could-not-apply state with the reason.
How do I remove Citedon from my site?
Untick the toggle to stop applying, or deactivate the plugin. Uninstalling the plugin removes every setting it stored. Because every fix is additive and namespaced to Citedon, removing the plugin removes its layer cleanly.
Are my scans private?
Scans you run while signed in are saved to your project and stay private until you choose to share them. A scan you run from the homepage without signing in is not tied to an account.
